Donovan believed in the power of education to change lives, and this scholarship exists to help students follow their dreams - just as he had hoped to do as a teacher.

Who can apply: 

Any first-generation high school senior or undergraduate student who aspires to become a high school teacher may apply. We are looking for students who have overcome personal loss, adversity, or hardship and who demonstrate strong character, resilience, empathy, and a desire to uplift others.

Applications are managed and vetted safely and securely through Bold.org, and the winner is personally selected by Donovan’s family and friends.
